Week 4 Results

Jarboe vs Southwick
52-51
What. A. Finish. Down 6 with 40 seconds to go, Jarboe puts together a streak of scores and defensive stops to give themselves a chance for the win. Jarboe's ball down 2, 6 seconds on the clock, all eyes turn to the go-to guy Andrew Watkins. An unnamed player inbounds to Colin teDuits, who immediately flips it back to this unnamed player, who lets it fly from three. Ballgame. Jarboe by 1. This unnamed player had done close to nothing for his team up until that point. For those wondering who he is, he has a fake British accent and looks like a meerkat.

KK vs. Sellers
60-54
A tough blow for Sellers, as they were undermanned and fall to 0-3. The game began as a 4 vs. 4 due to a lack of commitment from the players on both sides. KK had their best performance yet, carried by Keast's 30 point outing, along with 5 of their players posting season highs.

Hastings vs. Strauss
65-54
Hastings started this game with just four players from their roster on the floor. In this circumstance, Max Phanord knew he had to rise to the occasion. The kid put up FORTY TWO POINTS in the single greatest scoring performance since the legendary rec ball days of Sir Bursa.

Manzi vs. McNamara
59-62
As if week 4 wasn't crazy enough, another game-winning shot was granted to the large following of GD rec basketball. Coach Manzi (who was not present) was more than confident in a win against the soul searching McNamara, however, things did not go as planned. In the epic showdown of Griffiths vs Boudreau, Griffiths was able to get the last laugh. The game was tied and time was dwindling down with the ball in Griffiths' hand. This recap of the last shot comes straight from the shooter himself, Kasey Griffiths, "Dood I was on the arc and sam was pressed up against me and I knew time was running out. So I just pulled up and began to stumble back into the benches, and then BANG bank shot for the dub and I was like 'Oh Sure.'"

Townsend vs. Booth
54-46
A dreadful matchup that no one wanted to see. Team Booth continues to struggle, and Will Zinkann actually wasn't terrible in his rec ball debut. Matty Bo Binks is not a happy camper right now in Boothland. Word on the streets has it that Hank had around 4 blocks and even blocked Bo, but the writers at the blog don't buy it for a second.
