Hastings vs. Jarboe
43-49
Hastings once again had a lackluster showing as they proved to be no match for Team Jarboe in a game where MVP candidate Andrew Watkins and his pet meerkat combined for 37 of their team's 49 points. Despite another strong showing from freshman Chris Smith, Jarboe comes out victorious and will *unfortunately* hold the #1 seed for another week.
Willson vs. Manzi
45-71
A complete team effort out of Manzi this week, practically putting the game away only seconds after the tip. Undersized sophomore guard Will Bordes raised some eyebrows with a season high 16 point performance. Willson simply could not keep up with Team Manzi's high-octane transition offense.
Booth vs. KK
49-45
Booth doubles their win total on the season! Woo! Granted, Team KK was missing their best player as well as most of their supporting cast and had to supplement their roster with several players who were fatigued from playing in the previous game, but a win is a win, and the writers here at the blog are truly happy for our brethren Matty Bo Binks and his squad.
Strauss vs. Sellers
62-44
We will post the score as soon as we figure it out. Strauss keeps rolling, taking down Team Sellers in a closer-than-anticipated matchup. Despite Sellers' blatant advantage in size/rebounding prowess, Jack Blount's 20 points along with Logan Hilberg's "clutch floaters" ultimately sealed the deal for Strauss.
Townsend vs. McNamara
51-35
This star-studded matchup, despite its lopsided final score, did not fail to live up to the hype. Tensions were high as Borsque Griffiths tried his best to counter the dual-pronged backcourt attack of Nate Townsend and Fat Kyle Plausse. Borsque's valiant efforts proved insufficent, however. as Team Townsend won handily on the back of Nate's 22 points.
