Guys... we only have two weeks left :/ anyway here's how it all went down.
Manzi vs. Hecht
61-35
This was a one score game with two minutes left in first half, it was only 7 at the break. I can't even describe how it happened, in a quick flash, just out of nowhere, it was long gone. This is what Team Manzi so unstoppable, they're so explosive. They played the best second half I've seen all year.
Majkut vs. McNamara
42-41
The upset of the day is right here. It wasn't like Majkut even played horrible either, it wasn't there best, but it wasn't bad by any means. They did however have virtually a full squad and McNamara still was able to pull it out. This was a 5 point game with about 8 seconds left and Majkut quickly went down got a quick layup stole the inbound and hit another layup. Why they didn't at least try to get it behind the arc I don't know, but nevertheless McNamara was the better team and really earned the win.
Gingras vs. TeDuits/Estes
66-60
Admittedly this was a far closer game than I thought it would be. The Ryan Teduits, Avi Jivanonq trash talk lived up to the hype as they both played a big role when their respective teams were playing their best in the game. Team Gingras had a small lead in the first half but TeDuits/Estes dominated the second half. Gingras was able to cut it close, and did make a close last minute run, but in the end it was TeDuits/Estes that pulled it out.
Booth vs. Meyers
53-36
This game was a little closer than the stats show, but that being said Booth won the game convincingly. They clearly had the rebounding edge and with this win they officially have clinched a first round bye. Meyers did play better than they have in the past two, but still clearly need Joey back if they want to see any form of success.
Bernard/Hastings vs. O'Wiley
64-53
Holy Sam... kid balled out. I don't like spoiling baller of the week in the game results but come on. I didn't get to see this game, but I heard there was a lot of fouling and it wasn't team Bernard's best game. Vassell came back in a big way today, but it wasn't enough to knock of Sam's ridiculous day.
Zolomon vs. Southwick
48-45
I don't think I've ever seen a closer game of basketball period. The biggest lead for either side was 5, once and for I'd say about 75% of the game it was one score. There were probably about 10 lead changes and no team held the lead for longer than 4 minutes. This was a battle. In the end some big time defense led Zolomon to a must needed win for them. Southwick drops their second stright after back to back heart breaking losses.
